Setting Up Phone Accounts and Understanding Call Rules for Wheeler Inmates (Securus)

To receive calls from someone at Wheeler Correctional Facility, you'll need a Securus account - either pre-paid collect or direct-bill. Set one up online through Securus or call 1-800-844-6591.

Deposits to a Securus pre-paid collect account are capped at $200.00 each. Need to add more? You'll have to split it into separate transactions.

On the inmate's end, there's another option: they can transfer money from their trust account into a Securus debit calling account in $1 increments. Handy if they just need a small amount to complete a call.

Privacy reminder: Calls may be monitored or recorded.

  • Call forwarding isn’t permitted
  • Three-way calling isn’t permitted

Calls have a hard cutoff at 25 minutes. If the line suddenly disconnects, this is usually why - it catches a lot of families off guard the first time.

Even with money in your account, calls won't go through if your number isn't on the inmate's Call Allow List. Double-check that they've added your exact number, including the correct area code.
