How to Schedule a Visit at Winnebago County Jail (weekend video visits and who to call)

All visits at Winnebago County Jail happen on weekends - Saturday and Sunday only. These are video visits conducted in the video visitation room at the Winnebago County Justice Center (650 West State Street, Rockford, IL 61102). You'll be on-site, but talking through a video screen.

Here's the catch: the inmate has to request the visit. You can't book a slot yourself. The deadline is Thursday at 12:00 p.m. (noon) - the request must be submitted by then for visits that same weekend. If you're planning to visit, let your loved one know who's coming so they can get the request in before the cutoff.

Visits run Saturday and Sunday in daytime blocks. Saturday slots: 7:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m., then afternoon at 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. Sunday slots: 8:00 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m., then 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 4:00 p.m.

Arrival ID Requirements

• ✓ Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled visit time (late arrival means the visit will be cancelled)
• ✓ Bring proper identification
• ✓ Leave your cell phone behind (no cell phones are allowed in the visitation area)
