Sending Messages and Photos to Yavapai County Inmates: How Securus eMessaging Works
Securus eMessaging is how you send messages and attachments to someone in Yavapai County custody. Here's what you can send, how payment works, and what happens if something gets rejected.
You can send written messages and add attachments to make things feel more personal. Each message can include up to 5 photos and up to 5 eCards. Want to send a video instead? Securus offers 30‑second VideoGrams - record one on the spot or choose a saved video. VideoGrams are only available through the mobile app.
App-only feature: VideoGrams (including recording a new one or sending a saved video) are available in the Securus mobile app, not the website.
You'll need a Securus Online account before you can send anything. If you're trying to message someone and keep hitting a wall, check your account setup or login - that's usually the issue.
Securus eMessaging runs on
Everything you send - messages, photos, VideoGrams - goes through facility review. If something doesn't pass, it won't be delivered. You'll get a rejection notice in your inbox explaining why.
No refunds on rejected content: If a message or attachment is rejected, the stamps you used aren’t refunded.
Practical Tips
- ✓ Keep the attachment limits in mind: up to 5 photos per message.
- ✓ If you’re sending eCards, stay within the limit of up to 5 eCards per message.
- ✓ If you’re planning a VideoGram, record it as a 30-second clip - and remember VideoGrams are mobile-app only.
- ✓ Write and choose attachments with review in mind, since the facility can reject messages, photos, or VideoGrams.
- Select the right person before you pay - you must be logged into your Securus Online account to send, and the stamp price is shown when you choose the incarcerated individual.
- Keep your own record - save a copy or screenshot of what you sent and your stamp purchase details, so you can track what went out and what it cost.
