Rincon advises allowing up to 60 days for your visitation application to be processed after payment and required supporting documents are received. If you only accept phone calls, you don’t pay the $25 fee, but you still must apply for phone privileges—and you should not apply while the inmate is in intake at Alhambra or Perryville.
If you don't clear the magneto poles/metal detectors, staff may ask you to submit to a pat search—or send you back to your car without a visit that day. Minors won't be pat searched. If contraband is found (cell phones, illegal drugs, etc.), you can face charges through the Complex CIU. ADCRR maintains a contraband hotline for urgent reports.
If you send personal mail to someone in ADCRR, your letters won't be handed over as paper anymore. Starting December 15, 2025, most personal mail goes digital—while legal mail, parcels, publications, and official government mail follow different rules.
To send mail directly to Rincon Unit, include the incarcerated person's name and ADC number, then the unit's P.O. Box. Format it like this: Inmate Name and ADC #, P.O. Box 24403, Tucson, AZ 85734.
