Prepare for a Family Visit at Cibola County Correctional Center

ICE’s facility guidance, updated August 6, 2026, lists family-and-friends visiting hours as Friday through Monday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and all federal holidays. Visits may not exceed eight hours. The facility is at 2000 Cibola Loop, Milan, NM 87021.

To allow time for security processing, you must arrive 15 minutes before the start of visitation and at least one hour before visitation closes. Confirm visiting hours with the facility before you travel.

You must present a valid, verifiable government-issued identification card to enter. If you bring a minor, an adult guardian aged 18 or older must accompany them. Minors must not be left alone in the waiting room, visiting room or any other area.

You may not carry items into the visitation area, except for a limited allowance when accompanying an infant or child. Firearms and weapons of any kind are prohibited throughout the facility, and electronic devices such as cell phones, pagers and radios are prohibited in secure areas.

When you request entry to the facility or visitation area, you are subject to a pat-down, inspection of your belongings and a metal scan. Refusing to cooperate with a reasonable search prevents admission. You also remain subject to search while inside the facility.

Family and other social visits are contact visits. You may not pass or attempt to pass any items to a detainee. If you are or appear to be intoxicated, you will not be allowed to visit.

The facility’s legal video teleconference meetings and confidential legal calls are separate from family visitation. Only legal representatives, legal assistants and interpreters may participate in those legal sessions, not family or friends.
