Commissary at Daviess County Jail: Ordering Deadlines, Limits and Gift Baskets

Getting commissary items to someone at Daviess County Jail comes down to two things: where to place the order and the weekly deadlines that control delivery. Here's what you need to know about the schedule, spending limits, and gift baskets.

Commissary orders at Daviess County Jail go through the kiosk. The inmate selects the "New Order" tab to get started. Before submitting, double-check the cart to make sure everything is correct.

The first weekly cutoff is Sunday at midnight (CST). Orders placed by that deadline are scheduled for the next delivery date.

The second cutoff is Wednesday at midnight (CST). Orders placed by then also go out on the next delivery date.

Deliveries happen on Tuesdays and Fridays. Timing matters here. Miss a midnight deadline, and your order gets pushed to the next delivery window.

Hot and cold cart items are available at least once a week alongside regular commissary. Keep in mind that these purchases count toward spending limits, so factor them into your budget.

The spending limit is $150 per inmate, per commissary day. That cap includes hot and cold cart items as well as nicotine patches, so everything counts toward the same daily maximum.

Holiday exception: If commissary is only offered once that week because a holiday falls on a weekday, the maximum purchase amount increases to $300 for that commissary.

Friends and family can order commissary gift baskets online through the KW Corrections site. These are separate from the kiosk orders inmates place inside the facility.

You can also order gift baskets by phone at 1-859-376-4230. If you're calling close to a cutoff time, place the order early so it counts for the next delivery.

  • Gift basket deadline: 6:00 a.m. (CST) Monday to receive the next delivery date
  • Gift basket deadline: 6:00 a.m. (CST) Thursday to receive the next delivery date

Restriction: Inmates who are diabetic or indigent are restricted from receiving gift baskets.
