Timing matters. Orders must be placed by midnight (CST) on Sundays or midnight (CST) on Wednesdays to arrive on the next delivery date. Miss the cutoff, and you're waiting until the following cycle.
Daviess County Jail caps commissary purchases at $150 per inmate, per commissary day. That total includes hot/cold cart items and nicotine patches.
Holiday week exception: If commissary is only offered once in a week because a holiday falls on a weekday, the maximum purchase amount for that commissary day is $300.
Deliveries happen on Tuesdays and Fridays. If you're trying to coordinate when to order with when items actually arrive, those are the two days to track.
Hot and cold cart items are available at least once a week. Since those count toward the spending limit, plan accordingly.

Restriction: Inmates who are diabetic or indigent are restricted from receiving commissary gift baskets.
