Keep your face visible and looking at the camera throughout the entire video visit. If you look away or move out of frame, the screen can go dark - eating into your time and making it seem like there's a connection problem when it's really just positioning.

Dress Code

  • Nudity is not allowed during video visits.
  • Clothing with exposed undergarments is not allowed.
  • Clothing that is deemed inappropriate is not allowed.
  • Gang attire is not allowed during video visits.
  • Nothing may cover your head during the video visit.

Sexual acts are strictly prohibited during video visits - and that goes for anyone visible on screen. If other people are in the room with you, make sure they know this rule too. The visit is your responsibility.

Note: Video visits/chats can be terminated for any rule violation by any party, or for safety or security reasons.

Plan on video visits and chats being monitored and recorded at Daviess County Detention Center. The only exception is a visit that the facility has preapproved as confidential.

If you’re an attorney, representative, or other professional visitor and you need a confidential video visit, you can register for confidential visits through CorrectPay.com. After DCDC verifies and approves it, that confidential visit will not be monitored or recorded.

A visit can be terminated for any rule violation - by you or anyone else on the call - or if staff decide it's necessary for safety or security. Terminations can also affect your future visits, with restrictions applied as needed. Take the rules seriously from the start: keep your camera angle right, dress appropriately, and be mindful of who's in the room.
