If going online or calling isn't convenient, there's an on-site option. The detention center lobby has PayTel kiosks that offer free phone calls or video visitation.

Schedule ahead: Once the detainee has added you as a contact, kiosk visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours (or more) in advance if you want your preferred times.
Assume there's no privacy on the detainee phone system. Calls are recorded and can be monitored at any time. Keep conversations focused on what you're comfortable saying on a recorded line.
Calls are time-limited to 15 minutes max. It helps to have a quick plan for what you want to cover before the call connects.
Don't try to route the call through another number or add anyone else to the line. Call forwarding and three-way calling aren't allowed.
Taking calls on a cell phone? Keep in mind that dropped calls can cost you. Refunds for dropped calls to cell phones won't be issued.
