Huron County Jail offers video visitation only. Visits are scheduled in 20-minute blocks. Inmates not on restricted status can have one on-site video visit per week or up to ten off-site (remote) video visits.

Know the registration rules before you try to book. Visitors must be 18 or older to register. Anyone between 10 and 18 needs to be registered under a parent or guardian and must visit with them. Each inmate can have up to four registered visitors at a time, including children under 18.

To schedule from home, use the ICSolutions website. You can book up to two weeks in advance, but you must schedule at least 24 hours before your desired visit time. If you're trying to book for tomorrow, you'll need to pick a later date to meet that 24-hour cutoff.

Reminder: Visits can be scheduled up to two weeks ahead, but not less than 24 hours before the visit.

Can't schedule from home? You can book in person at the public lobby registration computer (kiosk). This is the jail's on-site option for scheduling a video visit during business hours.

Lobby kiosk hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm (excluding holidays).

When you're ready to pick a time, remember the booking window: you can schedule up to two weeks out, but no less than 24 hours before the visit. From there, just choose an on-site time slot (at the facility) or an off-site slot (remote).

  • ✓ On-site visit hours (at the facility): Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 2:00pm (excluding holidays)
  • ✓ On-site visit hours (at the facility): Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 4:00pm (excluding holidays)
  • ✓ Off-site visit hours (remote): Sunday to Saturday, 8:00am to 2:00pm
  • ✓ Off-site visit hours (remote): Sunday to Saturday, 3:00pm to 6:30pm

For remote visits, you'll need a computer or mobile device with a working camera. No camera means no video visit.

  1. Pick a different time within the posted hours. On-site and off-site visits have different daily time windows, so switching from one to the other can open up more options.
  2. Make sure you’re outside the 24-hour cutoff. If the visit you want is less than 24 hours away, choose a later slot.
  3. Schedule farther out (up to two weeks). If near-term times are full, look ahead within the two-week advance window.
  4. Use the lobby kiosk during business hours. If scheduling from home isn’t working, book at the public lobby registration computer (kiosk) Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm (excluding holidays).
