How to Schedule Your First In‑Person Visit at Lee County–Tupelo Jail
Scheduling your first in-person visit at Lee County Detention Center (Tupelo) is straightforward once you understand the pod-based schedule. Here's how to book a time, pick the right day, and show up ready.
In-person visits at Lee County Detention Center (Tupelo) are non-contact. You'll sit on opposite sides of a glass partition and talk through a phone. Visits last 15 minutes and require an appointment. You'll need to schedule at least 24 hours in advance.
The jail allows one visit per week with up to two visitors. Once you leave the visiting area, you cannot come back in that day, so take care of anything you need before checking in.
Before scheduling, confirm you're on the inmate's approved visitation list. If you're not on the list, you can be turned away at check-in, even with an appointment.
Kids: Children under 8 years old are not allowed to visit. Any child under 8 must be supervised.
To schedule an in-person visit, call (662) 432-2600. Phone scheduling is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Call at least 24 hours before your desired visit time. The jail won't accept same-day or last-minute requests.
Need to change your plans? Call as early as possible. Remember the 24-hour advance requirement still applies, so don't wait until the last minute.
When scheduling, you'll need to pick a day based on where the inmate is housed. Visiting hours are 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Pods rotate by weekday: Monday is Pods A and B. Tuesday is Pods C and D. Wednesday is Pods E and F, plus Male Holding. Thursday is Pod G and Female Holding.
Weekend visits work differently. Saturday visitation is for trustees only, running 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Sunday visits for the Lee County Work Center require scheduling through a separate number: 662-680-6064.

- ✓ Sign in at least 15 minutes before your scheduled visitation time.
- ✓ Bring proper photo ID for check-in.
- ✓ If you do not sign in with proper ID at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time, you will not be allowed to visit.
Reminder: Once you leave the visiting area, you will not be allowed to return to the visiting area that day.
