All adult visitors must register using their legal name and present a valid government-issued photo ID for video visitation. Visiting from home? Log into the GTL system about 15 minutes before your scheduled start time. If you're using an AFOI Visitor Center, arrive at least 20 minutes early and leave cell phones, pagers, laptops, gaming systems, and other portable electronics outside. Schedules, contact versus non-contact rules, and visit length vary by location, so check the brochure and VADOC visitation guidance before you plan. You'll also need to submit visitor applications and background authorizations to the Central Visitation Unit and wait for approval. Out-of-state applicants should expect longer processing times.

Marion Correctional Treatment Center uses ConnectNetwork (Global Tel*Link) for inmate phone service. All calls are recorded and monitored, except properly verified attorney calls. To pay for calls, set up a prepaid AdvancePay account through ConnectNetwork. The vendor offers a toll-free line for setup and account questions. Marion CTC also supports at-home video visitation, so you can connect from a computer, tablet, or Android smartphone. For online visits through the GTL system, log in about 15 minutes before your scheduled start time (some on-site visitor kiosks may require arriving even earlier). Phone and video services are handled by a third-party vendor, so contact them for billing or technical support. Have a valid photo ID, a verified account, and an internet-ready device ready before your first visit.
