What to Expect When You Check In for a Visit at Morrow County Jail
If you've never visited before, the check-in process can feel like a lot. At Morrow County Jail, knowing what happens in the lobby, what information gets recorded, and how appointments work will make things go much smoother.
You'll register as soon as you walk into the jail lobby. This is standard. The facility uses it to document who's visiting and when.
- ✓ Date
- ✓ Your name (visitor name)
- ✓ The incarcerated person you are visiting (inmate visited/inmate name)
- ✓ Length of the visit
- ✓ Relationship to the incarcerated person
- ✓ Scheduled visit time
- ✓ Time the visit ends
Walk-ins aren't accepted. Morrow County Jail requires a visitation appointment, which you can schedule online or at the visitation kiosk in the lobby.
Your scheduled visit time isn't just for your own reference. The facility maintains a computerized visitor log tied to the incarcerated person's record. That log captures the scheduled time, when the visit ends, your name, and your relationship to the person you're visiting.
Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID. Staff will check it at the door, and you can be turned away without it.
- ✓ Your appointment details (online or kiosk scheduling), so you can confirm the visit you scheduled
- ✓ The relationship between you and the incarcerated person, since it is recorded in the computerized visitor log
Note: Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Ask for help in the lobby: Let staff know you are unable to schedule online or on the visitation kiosk.
- Request the Shift Supervisor or O.I.C. if needed: If the issue cannot be resolved at the front, ask for the Shift Supervisor/O.I.C. for assistance.
- Complete lobby registration: Even if scheduling is being sorted out, be prepared to register upon entry into the jail lobby as part of check-in.
