Before you order, the inmate must have requested the book, magazine or newspaper, and the Jail Administrator must have approved it. The publication must arrive directly from the publisher. Hardback books are not allowed.

Have the publisher send approved books, magazines and newspapers to the direct mailing address below. Publications do not go to the scanned-mail destination at PO Box 591 in Longview, Texas.

The inmate’s committed name and the sender’s return address must appear on the front of the envelope. Incoming mail can be opened and inspected for contraband and incoming funds.

If you want to provide a Bible, a separate rule applies: Bibles must be supplied by the facility’s approved chaplains, rather than through the ordinary publication-ordering route.
