In-person visits at New Haven allow no more than two visitors per visit - and children count toward that limit. If you're coming with a larger family group, decide ahead of time who's going in. You don't want to make that choice at the door.

Video visits allow up to three authorized adults at once. Everyone participating must be listed on the Visit Request Form beforehand - you can't add people last minute. Make sure the right names are on the form before you schedule.

Note: Youth living in the household don't count toward the video visit maximum.

Non-contact visits are recorded. Keep that in mind when deciding what to discuss - anything you say will be captured on video or audio.

Contact rule: For authorized contact visits, a brief embrace and kiss are allowed at the beginning and end of the visit - keep it short and limited to those moments.

In-person visits are currently limited to 30 minutes (until further notice). The facility shortened visits to allow time for disinfecting before and after each session. Even if you're used to longer visits elsewhere, expect your time to be capped.
