Plan a Pitchess visit to the right facility
Find your loved one’s housing component, match it to the right address and arrange your visit in advance. Pitchess has four adjacent components, so North’s address is not the destination for every visitor.
Pitchess Detention Center, also called Wayside jail, consists of four adjacent components: East, North, South and North County Correctional Facility (NCCF). Identify which component houses your loved one before choosing your destination.
You can use the Los Angeles County online inmate search or call the sheriff’s 24-hour inmate-information service at (213) 473-6080 or (213) 473-6100. Inmate information is usually not available until at least two hours after booking.
Each component has a different street number. East is at 29310 The Old Rd, Castaic, CA 91384; its facility-information and administration number is (661) 295-8815. North is at 29320 The Old Rd, Castaic, CA 91384; its facility-information and administration number is (661) 295-8840.
South is at 29330 The Old Rd, and NCCF is at 29340 The Old Rd, both in the Castaic complex. Use the address that matches your loved one’s housing component, rather than treating North’s address as the destination for every Pitchess visit.
You must schedule your visit online in advance.
Before you travel, call (661) 295-8840 for the latest visiting hours and instructions.
