How to Schedule a Visit at Pulaski County Detention (Video vs. In-Person)

Right now, Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility is directing visitors toward video visitation. In-person visits have been suspended due to COVID-19 until further notice. The facility asks families and friends to create an online video visitation account to visit remotely.

Start by deciding whether you want a video visit (remote) or an in-person visit. Video visits run through the GettingOut system. You can schedule them online through the GettingOut site or at the kiosk in the facility lobby. In-person visits, when available, require you to contact the visitation section and schedule at least 24 hours in advance. That said, in-person visitation is currently suspended due to COVID-19.

  • If you want a video visit: create your online video visitation account, then schedule your visit through the GettingOut system (online or at the lobby kiosk). Visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.
  • If you are trying to visit in person: notify the visitation section and schedule at least 24 hours ahead, then confirm whether in-person visitation is currently allowed (it has been suspended due to COVID-19 until further notice).
  1. Plan at least a day ahead. Visits through the GettingOut system must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.
  2. Use the GettingOut scheduling options. Schedule online through the GettingOut system, or schedule at the kiosk located in the facility lobby.
  3. Log in (or create your account). You will need to be logged in before you can schedule a visit.
  4. Choose a time and submit the request. Pick an available visit time and complete the scheduling steps so your visit is on the calendar.

Note: No way to schedule online? You can use the kiosk in the facility lobby instead. The same 24-hour advance scheduling rule still applies.

  1. Notify the visitation section. In-person visits require you to notify the visitation section before a visit can be set.
  2. Schedule at least 24 hours in advance. The facility requires in-person visitation times to be scheduled twenty-four (24) hours ahead.
  3. Verify in-person visits are currently allowed. In-person visitation has been suspended due to COVID-19 until further notice, so confirm the current status before you make plans.

If you're heading to the facility for a visit, use the visitors' entrance. You'll need to store your belongings in the lockers in the visitors' lobby before going any further.

Fair warning: published visiting hours vary depending on where you look and which type of visit you mean. One source lists GettingOut (Telmate) remote video visiting hours as 7 days a week from 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM. That same source shows an onsite lobby video visitation schedule that generally runs 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM on listed days, with no onsite visits on Thursday. The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office visitation page lists visiting hours as 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Before you book a slot or make a trip, verify the current hours directly with the detention facility.
