Enter Pulaski County Detention through the visitors' entrance. Staff will check your photo ID before you can start your visit, so keep it out and easy to reach. Once inside the visitors' area, you'll need to store your personal belongings in the lockers in the visitors' lobby. The facility doesn't allow visitors to carry items into the visit.

Acceptable Photo IDs Adults

  • Driver’s license
  • Military ID
  • School ID
  • Law enforcement ID

Bring one valid photo ID and have it ready to show before your visit. If you arrive without acceptable identification, you'll be denied entry.

Children under 18 don't need to show identification. However, an adult with valid ID must accompany them. Once on Pulaski County property, children under 18 must stay with an adult at all times. Plan ahead so you can keep kids close during check-in, locker use, and the entire visit.

Store your belongings in the lockers in the visitors' lobby before heading into your visit. Think of it as a "carry nothing in" situation. Bring your ID, then lock up everything else unless staff tells you otherwise.

Attorneys and clergy members who need to see an inmate immediately may receive priority for a visit. Be prepared to explain the immediate need and present proper identification. Even with priority status, showing up organized helps. Have your ID ready at check-in so staff can move you through quickly.

If you are clergy and you are related to the inmate, you must be on the inmate’s visitation list. You will also need to make an appointment.
