Before Your Visit: Checklist for SCI Pine Grove Visitors

You can't book last-minute at SCI Pine Grove. Both in-person and video visits require scheduling at least 3 days ahead - and no more than 60 days out. Planning around work, travel, or a child's schedule? That 3–60 day window is your hard boundary.

One common snag: getting set up in the system. Before you can add an incarcerated person to your IVS account and schedule time with them, you must already be on their authorized visitors list. No list approval, no scheduling access.

Bringing kids? Handle the DC-313 form before you try to visit. This paperwork must be completed for any child participating in a visit - missing it can stop your visit before it starts.

You don't need separate IVS logins for children. Minors go under a parent or guardian's account, which keeps scheduling simpler. Just make sure each child is attached to the correct adult account when you set up the visit.

Plan for scrutiny before you even get inside. All visitor vehicles on DOC property are subject to search - keep your car straightforward and visit-ready when you pull in.

Screening applies to everyone, regardless of age. Whether you're coming alone, with a partner, or with children, expect the same rules for all.

You'll also pass through a metal detector before entering. Build extra time into your arrival so you're not rushed during processing.

Don't count on waiting inside - or even on the grounds. SCI Pine Grove has no waiting area, and anyone not visiting must leave facility property. If someone's driving you, arrange a pick-up time and spot off-site. Bringing children who won't be entering? Line up childcare in advance.
