Money Information at Westchester County Department of Correction

To support someone at Westchester County Jail, choose between an account deposit and a commissary gift. Touch Pay adds money to an inmate’s account. You can deposit online with a major credit card at any time, or use the Jail lobby kiosks Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Bring a valid photo ID for an in-person deposit. For a commissary gift, order through iCare with your credit card. Use www.Icaregifts.com, the only gift website authorized by Westchester County Department of Correction. Credit-card bail has a separate financial consequence. You must agree that the funds become the property of the person you are bailing out. If the court orders bail returned after the case or charges are resolved, that money goes directly to the defendant, not back to your credit card.

Common Questions

Can I deposit money online?

You can add money to an inmate’s account through the Touchpay Portal using a major credit card. Online deposits are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Which website should I use for a commissary gift?

Use www.Icaregifts.com to order a commissary gift with your credit card. It is the only commissary gift website authorized by Westchester County Department of Correction. Check that the address spells “gifts” with an “s” and ends in “.com” to avoid a misleading gift website.

Does paying bail mean the person will be released immediately?

Paying bail does not guarantee immediate release. The person you are bailing out is checked for active warrants or other legal holds, which can take time. Outstanding warrants may prevent the bail from being completed.
