The kiosk is in the Building 1 lobby and accepts both cash and credit cards. It's a solid choice if you prefer handling things in person.

The Building 1 lobby kiosk is available 24 hours a day, so you don’t have to plan around business hours to add funds.

Funds usually post after a short delay - at least by the next day. If you're covering something time-sensitive, plan for that small lag.

Heads up: Credit card deposits (including kiosk credit card payments) are limited so the inmate’s account balance can’t exceed $300.

Prefer to deposit from home? Daviess County Detention Center accepts credit card deposits through CorrectPay.com. It's the easiest option when you can't make it to the lobby.

Having trouble with a CorrectPay deposit? Call them at 1-855-836-3364.

Reminder: Credit card deposits made online are also subject to the $300 maximum inmate account balance limit.

Mailing Checks Mail Rules

  1. Make it payable to the facility - Write the check payable to “Daviess County Detention Center.”
  2. Add the inmate’s name - Put the inmate’s name on the memo line.
  3. Include your return info - Write the sender’s full name and return address on the outside of the envelope.

Mail cashier’s checks, certified checks, or money orders to: DCDC Attn: Bookkeeper 3337 Hwy 144 Owensboro, KY 42303

Government checks: Government checks are the only two-party checks allowed for deposits. They must be payable to the incarcerated inmate and deposited in full to the inmate’s account.

Credit card deposits - whether at the kiosk or online - can't push an inmate's account balance above $300. If they're already near that cap, your deposit may not go through as expected. Check the balance before you send.

Mailing a two-party check? The facility's exception is narrow: only government checks qualify. They must be payable to the incarcerated inmate and deposited in full to their account.

Watch the available balance: If the inmate owes any fees, 50% of all deposits will be deducted and applied to those fees (this applies to state and federal inmates too).
