Jefferson Parish Correctional Center (JPCC) uses Ally Telecom Group for inmate phone and video visitation services. To access these options, set up an NCIC Inmate Communication account at account.ncic.com (Spanish: cuenta.ncic.com) or call 1-800-943-2189. You can add funds through a 24-hour lobby kiosk (cash only), online through Forecomm Solutions, or by mailing a money order. Before visiting, you'll need to be on the incarcerated person's approved visiting list and complete the facility's visitor application. On visit day, bring a valid photo ID if you're an adult. Expect check-in with staff and security screening—metal detector and possible searches.

Send all inmate mail to JPCC Inmate Housing Area, P.O. Box 388, Gretna, LA 70053. On every letter or envelope, include the person's name (as it appears during incarceration), their CCN number, and their dorm/cell/bed number if you know it—this helps staff route it correctly. All incoming mail is opened and inspected for contraband. Disallowed items may be seized and disposed of. You can send photographs, but Polaroid or instant photos aren't allowed. Any images considered provocative or lewd will be removed and disposed of. Books and periodicals must be purchased and shipped directly from a publisher or bookstore—up to four books maximum. Newspapers and other newsprint media aren't allowed due to fire-hazard concerns.

JPCC offers three ways to put money on an inmate's commissary account: an onsite lobby kiosk, online deposits, or mailed money orders. The lobby kiosk is available 24 hours, takes cash only, and posts funds immediately—you'll need the inmate's CCN. Online deposits go through Forecomm Solutions using a credit or debit card. These post immediately when accepted, but there's a $300 limit per transaction and a maximum of three transactions within seven days. Forecomm doesn't accept phone deposits. For mailed funds, send a money order (never cash) with the inmate's correct name and CCN. Processing typically takes 1 to 3 business days. A private vendor handles commissary operations, so follow JPCC and Forecomm instructions closely.
