How to Add Money to an Inmate Account at Lew Sterrett Justice Center
You can add money to an inmate’s trust account through Access Corrections by card, phone, lobby kiosk, mailed money order, or walk-in cash deposit. Do not confuse an account deposit with an Access Securepak commissary package order, which is a separate process.
Use Access Corrections Secure Deposits when you want to add money to an inmate’s trust account. Access Securepak is a separate service for ordering predetermined packages of commissary goods, so an account deposit does not itself place a package order.
You can deposit online or through the Apple or Android app with a verified Visa or Mastercard. You can also call the 24-hour Access Corrections domestic call center at 866-345-1884, use the jail lobby kiosk, mail a money order to the secure lockbox, or make a cash deposit at a Cash Pay Today location.
- ✓ Online or app: Have a verified Visa or Mastercard.
- ✓ Jail lobby kiosk: Bring cash, a credit card, or a debit card to 111 West Commerce Street, Dallas, TX 75202.
- ✓ Mail-in lockbox: Use a money order and the customized deposit form.
- ✓ Cash Pay Today: Bring cash to a participating location.
Before mailing a deposit, get the inmate’s name and jail ID or booking number. If you cannot find the number online, call Lew Sterrett Justice Center at 214.761.9025 to request it.
- Obtain a money order and the customized deposit form.
- Make the money order payable to “Access Secure Deposits.”
- Write the state, city, inmate’s name, and inmate ID number on the money order.
- Complete the customized deposit form.
- Mail the money order and form to Access Corrections, P.O. Box 12486, St. Louis, MO 63132.
After the lockbox receives the money order, the deposit is processed and posted to the inmate’s trust fund in approximately 48 hours.
